Scheduled Maintenance: September 23, 2013 – ProStores maintenance

As part of our ongoing efforts to maintain our website services, we will be performing scheduled ProStores maintenance between 9:00 PM and 4:00 AM PDT on Monday, September 23, 2013. We have scheduled this maintenance for overnight, the time when traffic to your site is typically at its lowest

Please note: Visitors will be able to browse your online store without interruption, but will be unable to place orders until the maintenance is complete

Service Outage: September 23, 2013 – Hmail sending and receiving problems reported

We are investigating reports that some people are having problems sending or receiving email. Our email admins are looking into the problem and hope to get the functionality restored as quickly as possible.

We have identified an issue with one of our email severs which is affecting the ability to log in and/or send emails.  There is currently no ETA, but our email administrators are working to get this resolved as soon as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience this may be causing.

Our domain provider has resolved their outage.  Cleanup is still continuing so some domains may still experience some slowness loading.  However the main problem is fixed and there should be no more timeouts.

Notification: August 29, 2013 – Hmail passwords reset (resolved)

A fix has been implemented for the Hmail password problem.  The issue was caused by a migration script during maintenance overnight.  The problem is being fixed and all password that were inadvertantly are being reset to what they were yesterday.    The resets may take sever hours.  If you still can’t log into email or had been able to log in after changing your password and no longer can you can reset your password using the following instructions:

1. Log into your website account at Homestead.com

2. Click on “Email” on the left

3. Click on “Manage my email account” in the middle of the page

4. If you have more than one domain on your account choose the domain you want to work with from the dropdown

5. Click the pencil icon to the right of the box you wish to edit

6. Enter the password you want to use in the password and confirm password boxes (please note all passwords must be at least 8 characters long and include a capital and lower case letter)

7. Save

Do this for each box you can’t log into.

We sincerely apolgize for the trouble this caused and have taken steps so that it won’t occur again.

Last night many Hmail email passwords were reset.   This is causing email logins to not work.  Resetting the password will allow you to  log into the box again.  You can reset your password using the following instructions:

1. Log into your website account at Homestead.com

2. Click on “Email” on the left

3. Click on “Manage my email account” in the middle of the page

4. If you have more than one domain on your account choose the domain you want to work with from the dropdown

5. Click the pencil icon to the right of the box you wish to edit

6. Enter the password you want to use in the password and confirm password boxes (please note all passwords must be at least 8 characters long and include a capital and lower case letter)

7. Save

Do this for each box you can’t log into.  The password can be the same as you had been using as long as it meets the minimum requirements.  We are actively looking into what caused the problem, and apologize for the inconvenience.

Due to unexpected phone connectivity issues for our agents-phone support is temporarily unavailable. We’re sorry for any inconvenience. We are actively working toward a resolution.

While we work toward a resolution, we highly recommend visiting our community or help center (located in the upper right corner of your account) to find answers to your questions.  You can also contact chat support by logging into your account, clicking on Help in the top right-hand corner  and clicking Chat Live link. There is no impact to our website and hosting  services.
